Education in Action: Information and Enrollment
This is the first step on your child's journey to developing a life-long love of learning. Learning should be exciting. Fun. Something your child looks forward to. That's the way we approach learning because we know it works. Click the tabs below to read more about each of the key areas of Education in Action.
Cornerstones of Education in Action
Children thrive on repetition. Each 4-week session at Sensational Kids will have a broad theme
which allows for the repetition of songs, activities, and vocabulary increasing your child’s
confidence within the learning environment.
During group time activities your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety
of songs and finger plays with his or her peers. Children often feel most comfortable simply observing
group-time activities until their confidence grows and they learn what is expected from them. We are
here to make learning fun and while we encourage our children to participate, we will meet them
where they are most comfortable.
Free play gives children the opportunity to interact with the materials and tune into the peers
around them. At this age, children will often engage in parallel play while beginning to slowly
initiate brief social interactions.
Classes provide a wonderful opportunity for you to focus your energy and attention on your
child. At this age your child still looks to you for reassurance and guidance. This is a great
time to take your child’s lead and comment on what he/she is doing thus reinforcing learning
and confidence.
Although we use the term parent participation, all caregivers are welcome including mommies, daddies, grandmas, and grandpas. We all play an important role in our children’s lives!

While specific activities may be highlighted, the goal of our class is to have fun and
encourage our children to learn and grow through play. Each part of our child’s day can be
viewed as a learning opportunity as they explore and interact with the world around them.
